State law created the Butler County Child Support Enforcement Agency on January 1, 1988. Originally, the agency operated under the direction of the Domestic Relations Court, but the Butler County Board of Commissioners became the appointing authority in 1994.

Assistant Director Narka Gray
In 2015, Narka Gray became the agency's assistant director. Gray has a bachelor's degree from Indiana Bible College and is currently the vice president of the Ohio CSEA Directors' Association Cincinnati District.
Prior to becoming assistant director, she served in several capacities since she began working for Butler County in 1988. These positions include financial manager, team supervisor and staff development coordinator.
Awards
Over the past 20 years, the agency has received numerous awards from the Ohio Office of Child Support, the National Child Support Enforcement Association, the National Association of Counties, the Ohio CSEA Directors' Association and the Ohio Family Support Association in recognition of our achievement in child support collections and enforcement.
